About Us

The mission of the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce is to promote positive growth and improve the quality of life in the Anahuac Area.

The AACC is dedicated to supporting the community business interest, promoting local businesses, having an active presence within the Anahuac community and providing networking opportunities.

The Chamber works with businesses who are looking to create or expand their presence in the Anahuac area in an effort to create more jobs. More jobs means more opportunities for residents to find gainful work locally and thus leads to increased community prosperity.

The AACC participates and hosts a number of events each year which support and further its goals. These core events focus on community and business growth, involvement and improvement.

Annual Awards Banquet

The Chamber begins each year by honoring community and business leaders who further the goals of the Chamber at the Annual Awards Banquet. The highlight of the evening is the recognition of Person of the Year - a person who has made a large impact in the community chosen by the entire AACC membership base. Also recognized are Business, Outstanding Educator, First Responder, volunteer Group of the Year and Lifetime Achievement.

Political Forum

The Chamber host a Political Forum during all election years to encourage active participation in the government process by all Anahuac Area residents. Political candidates are invited to speak with voters in this nonpartisan event designed to allow for citizen and candidate interface.

Gator Classic Golf Tournament

This spring fundraiser is held at the beautiful Chambers County Golf Course. It is an opportunity for our members to come together, network and enjoy one of our most gorgeous natural leisure spaces.

Texas GATORFEST

By far the Chamber's biggest event of the year, Texas GATORFEST is a unique festival held in conjunction with the opening of alligator hunting season. The Festival is held the first weekend after September 10 in beautiful Fort Anahuac Park on the Trinity River, overlooking Trinity Bay. A combined effort of the Anahuac Area Chamber of Commerce and local residents, the Festival's total volunteer staff of over 450 workers see around 30,000 people in attendance each year.

Christmas Parade and ESA Sorority Tree Lighting

Anahuac Area residents and Chamber members alike eagerly anticipate the annual Christmas Parade and ESA Sorority Tree Lighting ceremony each year. Families gather on lawns around the city and visit the historic Chambers Home to watch the parade and lighting and visit with Santa after he arrives atop a fire truck.

Ribbon Cuttings and Grand Openings

Throughout the year the Chamber hosts ribbon cuttings and participates in grand opening ceremonies for new businesses or those who become new members of the Chamber.
